"Man of God" by Debra Diaz, sequel to the her first epic novel, "Woman of Sin", continues the adventure and saga of true love, dedication, perseverance, romance, undying love for family and for Christ. Beautifully and masterfully written, author Debra Diaz, delights the reader with her descriptive imagery and her eloquent writing style. This epic novel is truly a mini-series in the making; you will not be able to put this book down!

Be transported back in time again by author Debra Diaz, be taken back to ancient Rome, to a time when Rome was at its height of glory and a bustling metropolis. Christ had just been crucified and believers in Christ were called, "Christians" and to believe in Christ as God, was to risk death, for 'Rome had many different Gods'.

Rome was a good place to hide for the two fugitives running for their lives. Young Alysia, now set free from slavery and Paulus Valerius Maximus, her true love, who has now taken Alysia as his wife, are both now steadfast believers in Christ, yet fugitives ever since Alysia's accusation of murdering an elite Roman. Their life will never be the same, yet they have each other and their daughter Rachel, now 8.

This novel, "Man of God" will keep you fully entertained and have you falling in love with the two main characters. Each day, Paulus, Alysia and Rachel exist in unity, enjoying and savoring each tender moment as it passes by. Life could not be better if it were not for knowing that at any given moment, their life and their daughter's life could be utterly turned upside down if they were discovered. Each day is a treasure, each day with each other is magnificent. Until that one fateful day…

Filled with intrigue and betrayal, this captivating novel takes the reader on a journey through the lives of young Alysia and Paulus Valerius, who has turned out to be quite a 'man of god'. Alysia, once doomed to a life of misery as a slave bound forever in chains, now has found love, stability and family life with her husband and their young daughter, Rachel. She has found Paulus and he has found her and nothing can separate them, nor can anything separate them from the love of Christ.

Author Debra Diaz has taken these two characters and shown how two can become one in Christ and how a marriage with Christ can be more rewarding and stronger than ever. With the scripture, "…and a threefold cord is not quickly broken" in mind (Ecc. 4:12 KJV), the author takes the reader to a new level of intimacy with the characters and dedication to Christ. The love of Christ shines brightly through this novel and will grip your soul. This novel is truly an epic journey of the Christian faith, true love and the freedom, forgiveness and new life found in Christ.

Author Reid A. Ashbaucher, states in his book Made in the Image of God, "…the purpose of this book-to help define and reveal, in a new light, the concept of a triune God and his image imbedded, by design, in mankind." (p.66) Thus this is the essence of this book, to understand God, his design and the nature of things. The author challenges the reader to dig deeper into the scriptures to find knowledge of Him who created mankind.

To know God is to seek Him, have faith in Him and who He is. To gain a deeper revelation and understanding of Him is to acquire knowledge with understanding of who He is and who we are as humans. This book offers just that. Come gain a deeper understanding of the Word of God, who God is as the Creator of the Universe and who we are as we relate to him in an ever changing world.

This book offers a wealth of information from a man that has studied the Word of God and holds many theological degrees. Based on nothing but the Holy Scriptures, this book offers at times technical scientific ways as to understanding who God is, His Nature and Personhood. How do we relate to God who is Spirit, whom we cannot see, but yet believe is the Creator of the Universe and the giver of life? This book answers many of those questions.

Join the author as he invites you to embark on a journey that gives undeniable scriptural evidence that God is the Creator of the Universe by design thereby vividly giving biblical evidence and support in opposition to any forms of evolution, atheism, Gnosticism, Pantheism and Humanism. Each chapter builds upon each other that will lead the reader into a deeper knowledge of God.

Shedding light throughout this book, the author, answers many questions you may have about Christianity and God. Such as the question of who Jesus Christ was and how He was God incarnate upon the earth, sent to die for all the sins of the world. Or perhaps, you are wondering how a human is a spirit, soul and body. This intriguing and scriptural study will leave an indelible imprint on your soul and cause a greater appreciation of who God is and cause a deeper love of Him to grow, being the giver of salvation and the lover of our souls.

A highly recommend study for the person engaging in any biblical study in theology or for anyone desiring a deeper understanding and knowledge of God, His Nature, The nature of mankind and how we relate to God physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Systematic, concise and well written, this book offers answers to your many questions that man has as to how we as humans, living in a physical world, can relate to a supernatural, ever present and all powerful God. And how by "design", we as humans are 'made in the image of God'.

No Innocent Affair by Edward F. Mrkvicka Jr. with Kelly Helen Mrkvicka takes a look at the plague of the 21st century and one of the main contributors to the destruction of the American family-the sin of Adultery. Being a lay minister and a man who has studied the Word for many years, the author, Edward F. Mrkvicka Jr., gives not his opinion, but gives the absolute truth of God's Word through an extensive categorical list of scripture therefore laying first a biblical foundation. Then by clearly stating first God's view and comparing it with Society's view, the author lays bare the truth about adultery and the devastating consequences of adultery, not only to the person who commits the sin, but to others we love in our life who are the innocent victims of this pervasive ripple effect sin that is so prevalent in our society.

Most do no realize the far-reaching consequences of the sin of adultery in their lives, nor the cost and the author makes no mistake that there is no such thing as 'an innocent affair'. This book is an eye opener for most and highly recommended for anyone either contemplating an adulterous affair or for those who may have been entangled in an adulterous affair. The author shows the way out with some of most practical teachings culminated from the infallible Word of God to bring others out of their sin and into the light of the Lord.

Openly, but lovingly, the author shares the unavoidable, yet dire consequences of adultery and reveals that not only does it affect our lives spiritually and physically, but the sin has a ripple effect that goes on to "… virtually every innocent person in our lives" (p.11). The consequences are so monumental, that no one in their right mind "armed" with the truth of God's Word would commit adultery, but sadly, the author concedes from a recent survey, "…that over 88 percent of Americans believe adultery is wrong. Yet 77 percent of marriages involve at least one adultery." This alarming fact in our society today is bringing many to the wide-path of destruction. Quite simply put, it is choosing death over life.

Edward Mrkvicka's true desire is two-fold, first for all those that may be contemplating adultery to know the absolute truth of God's Word and the dire consequences and for those that are in an adulterous affair or have been in the past that they would also realize the devastating consequences and that the truth would bring true repentance in their life. Lastly, Mrkvicka's desire is that all would receive eternal life in Jesus Christ. Again, the author does not give his opinion, but God's view and His Holy Word. This book offers no excuses, nor apologies, but gives the truth of the Word of God. This book is truly a blessing to the body of Christ and to all who read it.

This subject is not an easy subject to be discussed, nor is it very popular, but with so many on the path to destruction in our society it is a must read for anyone entangled in or contemplating adultery. This fascinating and well-written book exposes the truth and deception in the sin of adultery and brings forth light to the subject. Thankfully, the author ends that there is hope and states, "God can save us" (p.11). For there is one hope, and that one hope is the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ. Come, read, know the truth and be set free.

Filled with scripture application, Author Dr. Joseph Hysekll Jr., has carefully laid down a solid foundation built upon the Holy Scriptures. True Prophecy And False Prophecy

PROPHECY

True prophecy is human communication initiated by the one true God (2Pet 1:21), for the purpose of expressing His immediate heart, mind, and will upon the earth to people (Am 3:7). 2Peter 1:21 is the perfect scripture expressing this definition. Some noticeable characteristics of true prophecy are unusual relevance, penetrating perceptiveness, perfect timeliness, emotional impact, felt authority, and harmony with God's attributes. True prophecy means two very different things in the Old Testament and New. This difference is fully explained in the OT & NT PROPHECY page.

False prophecy is human communication initiated by Satan and demons, done so in a malicious attempt to draw people away from the one true God (Jer 23:13, Mt 7:15). Because I've devoted an entire page to false prophecy, I will not go into anymore detail here. Like true prophecy though, its false counterpart means two different things in the Old Testament and New.

Neutral prophecy is human communication that is neither divine nor satanic, but nonetheless possesses highly compelling and inspirational qualities (Ac 12:21-23, Tit 1:12). We see neutral prophecy in Titus 1:12, where Paul quotes one of the "prophets" from Crete. He is referring to Epimenides, a Cretan poet and orator who lived around 600BC. In first century Greek culture, it was common to refer to poets and orators as "prophets", since their communication ability was so awesome. Many believed they were supernaturally-inspired, while some simply recognized their ability and called them "prophets" loosely in honor of that ability. Public heralds or proclaimers were governmental messengers authorized to make announcements to the public; they also were referred to generically as "prophets". Even today some refer to social reformers, powerful communicators, or inspiring visionaries as "prophets". Scripture is more concerned with the true and false brand.

Do We Truly Understand Love

When is Love not really Love?

Some people love someone for who they are, and some because of what they get from the relationship.

The Charismatic church is known for its worship and the presence of God among other things. However, God said to me about the current Charismatic movement, “their hearts are far from me!” How can this be I asked? It’s because most people that are in the Charismatic movement come for what God can do for them, not what they can do for God.

Love is an action, not a feeling. Love is when you are willing to sacrifice your needs and desires for someone else. It’s not that Charismatic Christians don’t love Jesus; it’s that the feelings are more important than taking up the cross (Luke 14:27).

The “love” that is expressed in worship is real. The presence of God is real. The Holy Spirit really does show up and touch people. However, there is more to being a disciple of Jesus than great worship.

So, when you love someone, how do you treat them? Do you ignore their wishes or treat them with deference and respect. Do you ignore their commands when they are too hard, or obey even though it costs you everything?

Studying The Prophetic Ministry

The prophetic ministry is a very exciting ministry. There are a lot of books on the market that offer some pretty in depth studies into the life of a prophet and the prophetic ministry.

However, there is one book that stands far above them all and that is the word of God being the scriptures. I encourage you to visit Blue Letter Bible and perform some words searches like prophet, prophets, false prophets, seers, holy spirit, anoint, anointing, oil and whatever other words that might come to mind. You will be blessed as God's Word speaks to you.

The Affects Of The News On Your Health

We all watch the news from time to time, and some make it a daily and evening part of their life. The news can be very informative, educational and keep you up to date on national and world events, from the weather to just about every other unfolding situation.

However can a daily and evening dose of the news have affects upon your health? I believe that it can because while there are happy news stories, there are a whole lot more depression news stories. In fact much of the news that we watch is depressing.

Personally, it would be so much nicer if there were balance with regards to the news and the stories they report on. But then again, if the new were more encouraging and reported on stories of encouragement and hope, most people wouldn't be glued to the news programs.

Let me encourage you to feed your inner man with something more fruitful than stories that sow depression.

The History Of Halloween

That time will soon be here and millions upon millions of children will celebrate Halloween. So what is this holiday and celebration all about? Is it simply fun, costumes, candy and children going from door to door? Or is there something else behind the holiday and celebration of Halloween? What is the History of Halloween?

As kids growing up, both I and my sister celebrated Halloween. Dressing up, the costumes, the trick or treat lanterns and yes, the candy was all a part of the celebration. It was fun and as with all children, we eagerly awaited that day.

Many years passed and when I became a Christian I did extensive studies online about Halloween and was quite shocked at what I found and read. I'm not going to go into details, other than to provide our readers with some links that will lead you to some informative sites about the history of Halloween like The Bible & Halloween. As Christian's and Christian parents, we must individually decide whether we should allow our children to participate in Halloween. Should Christians Celebrate Halloween

The Stock Market Rally & You

Have you seen it? The rally and comeback as today's stock market hit 10,000 plus. Hey great. So do you have more money in your savings, did you get a raise at your job, did your utility bills go down, did your medical costs go down, did your health insurance go down, auto insurance, etc. Did this rally and comeback place any more money in your pocket or get your bills closer to being paid off?

How about our senior citizens. Did this rally and come back help them? What about all the people that lost their homes and life savings. Did it help them? I wonder who will get the credit for this great comeback and rally?

Fuel for thought.

Intentional Malicious Intent

Have you ever encountered someone that intentionally starts arguments and intentionally tries to get your attention through arguments? I'm not talking about the antics of children, but adults. Those people that go out of the way to try and get your attention through malicious words, immature words and just down right bitterness spoken, as if they are simply trying to inflict their own misery upon you. Well, our world is filled with them.

So what do you do when that person is a spouse, a relative or a close friend? What do you do when as the seasons have passed that person continues to inflict such emotions upon and against you?

Pray and pray and pray that God delivers them from their own torment. Because torment has it's grip upon them.

Of The Times & Seasons

But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Judge Not, That Ye Be Not Judged

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Ouch!

International House Of Prayer

Here's a really awesome ministry to visit. The International House Of Prayer. I have a friend that moved to Kansas City that serves at IHOP. He and his wife just love it there. I've yet to visit IHOP in Kansas City, however I did get the chance to hear Mike Bickle preach at our church some years back and we have hosted the OneThing Conferences which are a blast to attend.

If you've never visited The International House Of Prayer's ministry site, here's a great time to check it out. International House Of Prayer

Loving The Un Lovable

Jesus said "love one another" and spoke of love being the greatest of all gifts. However, how do we love the unlovable? Those that are just difficult to get along with, that are always complaining, full of bitterness and very hard to be around. Most definitely a challenge at times, and especially if they are in your household. To be quite honest, other than saying love them with the love of Christ, I do not feel there is a true answer.

Yes anyone can tell you the 1-10 ways to love the unlovable, however telling someone and walking in those shoes are two different things. Loving the unlovable is a challenge that takes great wisdom, great patience, great understanding and extra measures of God's love flowing through you.

Weekends, Family & Having Fun

Since my wife was released from the hospital back in December of 2008, life has changed. She's in recovery from a virus that attacked her heart muscle and almost took her life. The end result was being diagnosed with heart failure as the damage to her heart left her heart only pumping at 20%. Since then the numbers have improved and by June of 2009 her heart was pumping at 33%. We will know more after her next doctors visit when further tests will be performed.

As the months have passed, as a family we have gone through many changes. The 1st three months after her illness were very difficult. By June of this year things had improved somewhat and she seems to be getting better and better all the time. Still with that said, life and the things we do have changed as my wife can tire very easily and have difficulties breathing.

Yet every Saturday night as a family we attend Saturday evening services and go out to eat. Then on Sunday we again attend services and afterwords go out to lunch. We look forward to our weekend, church and going out to eat. We've also learned to be thankful for our weekends.

It's not how much you do, where you go, or how exciting it is. It's the simplicity of spending time together as a family.

The Religious Blogger

Many people call me the religious blogger because I have a network of Christian blogs. Amazingly at my age, I remember the very first blog and forum that I started many years ago. The forum eventually had over 20,000 posts with around 200 faithful members. That was back in 2005. Since then we have started two additional forums. As much fun as the interaction has been on the forums, I prefer blogging and keeping our network of blogs going. It's hard work, however it is also rewarding. The blogging world and blogging communities has grown leaps and bounds over the years. Millions place posts on various subjects daily and there are some really great blogs and premiere blogging networks and communities out there.

If you haven't started a blog yet, you might check it out. It's fun, easy, creative and you'll make some great online friendships with others.

Living Your Live Victoriously

Victory! That sweet smell as they say. Yet what is living a victorious life? I guess that is determined by how you describe life. For me living a victorious life starts with Jesus. That is victory considering we live in a world that is far from Christ, His ways and His plans and purposes. Secondly my family. My wife and my daughter are very dear and important to me. Thirdly sharing the love and redeeming passion of Christ around the world through our network of ministry sites and blogs. I love sharing the wonderful blessings that come through knowing Christ with others.

For me, the above three things are living a victorious life. My love and relationship with God, my family and being a active part of the body of Christ. You see it's the simple things that are part of living a victorious life. The things that matter most.

Winter, Midwest, Buurrrrr

The winter months will soon be here. Buurrrrrr ...... it's going to be cold and wet. Some of you living in the Midwest are going to experience lots of cold, wet, snow and ice. Well, that's actually a understantment. Don't wait until winter is here to prepare for severe weather conditions. Make provisions in advance. Make sure that you have everything in order before that time comes. To include all the necessities just in case you find yourself snowed and iced in. As for the waters that will rise, make provisions, be safe and safeguard your families. Make provisions to help others, your neighbors and those in need.

There are blessings to be found in making provisions for dramatic weather conditions.

Learning From Our Children, While Teaching Them About Life

My daughter will be turning 5 years old this December. Oh how fast she has grown. It seems like just yesterday she was learning to walk and here we are already. She's such a blessing from God, so full of life, has way too much energy and just a barrel of fun to be around. Truly, I have been blessed beyond measure.

Over these last almost five years I have watched her grow and mature in ways that leave me in awe. She's bright, creative, and loves to explore. Of course we have those occasional moments as do all parents. However that's when I must be a father in all situations. That's when I must apply love in even greater measures. Simply through love to help her understand rights and wrongs and mature with character. Sometimes, in the end she teaches me things, like how to love life from a child like perspective. She has this thing that when I get too serious, she makes me laugh. Too funny!

It is good to learn from our children while teaching them about life.
